HIVE is an artist-run environment in development near the East Downtown (EDO) district of Houston, TX.

By utilizing reclaimed shipping containers as building modules, we’re providing affordable spaces for artists and arts-related businesses as a response to the gentrification within Houston’s inner loop. We are dedicated to establishing an environment in which artists and arts-run agencies can create and thrive without the usual anxiety of displacement.

We envision a true “hive-like” community, a habitat where art matters and is appreciated, and where Houston’s unique characteristics serve to sustain a healthy and inclusive artistic practice.
